Explaining the reason for the adjustment in the date of the UTME, Dr Benjamin said it was to accommodate other major and critical national assignments. He stated that the Board hopes that no citizen would be denied the opportunity to exercise their civic responsibilities. He added that JAMB cannot shift the examination further since other public examinations are scheduled to commence in early May 2023. Additionally, some institutions with a stable academic calendar need to resume as scheduled.
